CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme

The Central Board of Secondary Education invites ‘Online applications’ from eligible students who have passed Class X Examination 2020 from the CBSE affiliated Schools for the following Scholarship Schemes. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for + 2 studies – 2020 and renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child X Pass awarded in 2019.

Objective

The objective of the CBSE merit scholarship scheme is to supply scholarships to meritorious Single Girl Students. Who is the sole child of their parents? And have passed the CBSE Class X Examination with 60% or more marks and are continuing their further school education of sophistication XI and XII. The scheme is aim to acknowledge the efforts of the oldsters in promoting education among girls and to supply encouragement to meritorious students

Last Date

The last date for submission of online applications is 10th December 2020 Extend up to 21st Dec. 2020 and a hard copy of the application form (renewal only) has to be submitted on or before 28th December 2020 Extend up to 8th Jan. 2020. Hard copies received after the last date shall not be entertain.

CBSE Merit Scholarship for Girls Eligibility

  • All Single Girl Students, who have secured 60% / 6.2 CGPA or more marks/grades in CBSE Class X Examination and are studying Class XI & XII in School (affiliated with CBSE) whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year, shall be considered for the purpose. In the next two years, the total enhancement in tuition fees in such schools shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
  • NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs Is a maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
  • The scholarship is provides only to Indian Nationals.
  • The student must continue her school studies in Class XI and XII in school as stated above in para 3(i).
  • Candidates who have passed CBSE Class X Examination in 2019 will be held.
  • A Scholar under the scheme while availing scholarship can enjoy other concessions (s) given by the school in which she is studying other organization(s).

Rate of Scholarships and mode of payment

  • The rate of the CBSE Merit Scholarship shall be Rupees Five Hundred (Rs. 500/-) per month. A scholarship awarded under the scheme shall be purchased for a maximum period of two years.
  • Payment is going to be made through ECS/NEFT.

CBSE Merit Scholarship for Girls Selection Procedure

  • Girl’s students should have passed Class X Examination from the CBSE and secured 60% or more marks.
  • Pursuing Class XI & XII from CBSE affiliated Schools.
  • Students (Girl) should be ONLY CHILD of their parents.
  • Original Affidavit duly attested by the primary Class Judicial Magistrate/ SDM/Executive Magistrate/Notary as per prescribed format available on the Board website. (Photocopy of Affidavit won’t be accepted).
  • The undertaking should be attested by the varsity Principal from where the scholar is pursuing Class XI after passing Class X from the Board’s Examination.
  • The tuition fee shouldn’t be quite Rs. 1,500/- per month in school X and 10% enhancement for sophistication XI & XII.

How to Apply for CBSE Merit Scholarship for Girls?

  • The candidate needs to enter her roll number and Date of Birth (as printed on the class X grade sheet) in order to submit the online application form.
  • Enter all your particulars carefully and submit the form.
  • Note down the Registration Number shown on the page. This will be using while uploading documents and also for all other future communications.
  • Print the undertaking as providing in the “Guidelines Document” (this document), fill it, paste the photograph, and get it to attest from school.
  • Prepare affidavit, as per the format provided in the “Guidelines Document”.
  • Scan the above two documents, ie Affidavit, and Undertaking so as to create PDF files of up to 1MB size. The PDF should contain all the pages (in case of multiple pages)
  • Go to the “Upload Document” option and upload both the above documents.
  • Go to print the “Confirmation Page” option and generate the confirmation page.
  • Fresh applicants need not send the confirmation page to CBSE, however, they should keep it for their reference as proof of successful applying.
  • Applicants who successfully apply and complete the application will only be able to generate a confirmation page. Applicants who could not generate a confirmation page are not successful, and their application will not be processed.
  • In case of an application for Renewal Please send the duly filled and signed confirmation page to “Scholarship Unit”, CBSE, Shiksha Kendra, 2 Community Centre, Delhi – 110092.

CBSE Merit Scholarship Duration & Renewal

  • The Scholarship awarded to renew for a period of one year i.e. successful completion of class XI. Renewal shall also depend on promotion to the next class provided the scholar secures 50% or more marks in aggregate in the examination which determines her promotion to the next class.
  • Renewal/ continuation of the scholarship, in cases where a scholar gives up the chosen course of study before its completion. If she changes the school or course of study shall be subject to prior approval of the Board.

Good conduct and regularity in attendance are need for a continuance of scholarship. The decision of the Board shall be final and binding in all such matters. A Scholarship once cancel shall not be renew under any circumstances.
